VISION: EAGLES! DON’T TALK TO CROWS!
I saw a place at mid-height. Down below was a river gushing with water. On its bank, up and around was a multitude of foliage. Higher most, there was a beautiful bough of flowers that grew in a cluster, (like a cluster of grapes). It was hovering over the trees.
Its beauty enhanced the place.
A Crow was sitting on a stony place. There was a small cup-size hole in the large stone.
The crow had his beak in that hole and it appeared that he was drinking water.
An Eagle came along and stood opposite to him on that stone, and asked the Crow not to drink water there, but rather, go down below, where there was a river, gushing with water, and drink from there.
The Crow told the Eagle that he had his ‘own’ water and did not need to go down to the river.
Unknown to this Eagle, because he did not glance carefully below, he did not see that there were people on the banks of the river, who had taken water from the gushing river, and filled a trough with it. The large trough was directly below the stony place from where the Crow stood drinking. He had passed a large straw, through the hole in the stone, which directly went into the very large trough and was sipping this water, continuously.
He said to himself, “I like stolen water”.
The people down below, thought it cumbersome to keep going into the river, so they had collected the water in a very large trough, that it may last them a long while. It was this water that was meeting all their needs.
The people down below did not realize that the Crow was not only sipping water through the straw but also spitting through it, and dirtying the water.
Well, actually, the people were soon dirtying the water anyway, so the Crow was not solely responsible for dirtying the water down below.
The people down below, washed themselves, and sometimes their clothes, in the water so the water was continually getting dirtier and unfit for human consumption, judging by the yellowish/brownish color. The people had been provided with a divine laundry service by angels, but that meant stepping into the river. So the people down below decided that they’d wash their own clothes, after all the water was the same. The people seemed unaware of how dirty the stagnant waters in the trough had become.
The Eagle had been given message to deliver, “Go tell ALL by the river, to drink from the river.”
The Eagle got into an argument with the Crow, and soon it became dark. Both refused to budge from their stand. Creatures of the night emerged from the forest. The Eagle never knew when the Crow disappeared from the scene.
It seemed that the creatures of the night were friends of the Crow.
Now the Eagle spent the most fearful night of his life there.
At the break of dawn an Angel appeared to the Eagle and said, “Don’t talk to crows”.
It appeared that the Eagle was told to “go tell ALL by the river to drink from the river”.
It seemed that ‘ALL’ meant, the people by the river, but excluded the crows.
Crows were not to be given any messages, nor invited to drink from the river.
The Crow knew he could not drink from the river, but the Eagle did not seem to know that the Crow was barred from drinking from this river.
The Eagle had wasted all his time, engaging the Crow in an argument. But the Crow’s time was not wasted at all. Because he had stationed himself on that large stone, and appeared that he drank from there everyday. The people down below, were unaware of their water being siphoned off in this way.
In the dawn-light, I could see that the bough of flowers that hovered over the trees had disappeared and the foliage which was up, around and above the river bank had almost all vanished, all I could see was unkempt grass around the river bank. It appeared that the river was silent and not gushing forth, as before. All around, it seemed that the environment was deteriorating. I could neither see the people, nor the trough.
Messages were never sent to crows, only to people.
Eagles were strictly forbidden from speaking to crows.
Isaiah 27: 9-13
By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.
Yet the defenced city shall be desolate, and the habitation forsaken, and left like a wilderness: there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof.
When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will shew them no favour.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.
