BRITAIN NEEDS A MAN LIKE DAVID-BY JACKIE HOLDEN

I tuned into a sermon online this morning, and the message was from 1 Samuel 30. Verse 4 caught my eye: Then David and the people who were with him lifted up their voices and wept, until they had no more power to weep.

I pondered on this verse, and in my minds eye I tried to imagine a grown man like David weeping, and how he must have sounded. It says they wept until they had no more power to weep. I don't think I can imagine how David and these people must have felt, but then in a way I think I can imagine how they felt.

My mind wandered onto the subject of my nation, and the state we are in. I thought of the government leaders and the state church, and I wondered whether they would ever weep for us. I wondered if there were any government or state church leaders that loved the people so much, they would weep for us.
