Vision: Lackey Day

Vision: Lackey Day

19th February 2014

I saw this vision late November 2013.

I saw multitudes making their way to what looked like an old Egyptian market-place.  These people had been instructed to go and work in a certain place, but when they saw the market salesmen  in the distance, waving colorful goods at them they immediately left the main road and began to walk towards that which they were looking at. They meandered into the bazaar lanes like idle drifters. A strange smell permeated the entire environment. Pick pockets surrounded these multitudes, hit them on their heads, robbed them and vanished.

After a while, the people rose to their feet.  They had no memory of either being robbed or being hit on the head. And by the time they had moved past the noisy shop keepers, and the boisterous crowd, and reached the main square, these people had completely forgotten where they had originally come from, where they were headed or who they were.

The square looked like a place where slaves were auctioned in ancient times.

“This is your Lackey day! “The velvety tone of the announcer on the megaphone was most alluring, as she addressed the newcomers.

Festive posters and colorful banners carried by the locals were waved in their faces, “Welcome home”.

“But,” protested one of the multitudes, “this can’t be our home!”

“You've always lived and worked here,” stated a local resident emphatically.

“Work…. What work?” the multitudes were alarmed.

“You are all lackeys, in the employ of our boss, Meister Lack”.

I saw the multitudes, wearing ill-fitting lackey uniforms, stooped over, going about their work groaning and moaning, serving a boss, they did not know. The local residents had dragged the multitudes and handed them over to Meister Lack, who had put them through extensive training and now Meister Lack dictated the thought life of these flunkies.

“Have you any commonsense?” asked Meister Lack, testing his servants.

“No”, was the instant reply. “We are common sense deficient”.

Meister Lack had so trained the Lackeys that they saw only inadequacy, scarcity and deficiency in themselves and all around them. Their boss was pleased with them, as they served him well.

To all his questions their answer was always in the negative. They suffered lack in everything. They had commonsense deficiency, deficiency of patience, love, tolerance, sympathy, compassion.

Meister Lack had changed their vocabulary.

When asked about their lives and what they saw, the Lackeys would say they saw lack, deprivation, destitution, shortage, scarcity, paucity, privation, need, want, insufficiency, famine, drought, meagreness, inadequacy, poverty, leanness, beggarliness. When they ran out of words, they would consult Meister Lack’s dictionary.

All the Lackeys had now become lackadaisical.

NEXT

I saw that the entire Lack family and their lackeys were gathered in the square.

The lackeys, who were seated on the ground, observed that in the high places above the square, were the other Lack family strongholds. All who lived in this vast complex city, confessed lack. Meg A. Lack, otherwise known as Lady Lack, wife of Meister Lack, along with her children ran the Lack homes for lackeys.

Day and night there were howling, whining, moaning sounds emanating from Lack City. Lackey voices arose from every corner of this Lack City, lamenting physical, financial, emotional, spiritual lack. Where words failed to describe their sense of lack, each generation of lackeys made up some new catchy ones.

Lack City was the pride and joy of it’s architect and owner.

‘Lackey Day’ was a regular event that celebrated Meister Lack’s ingenuity in recruiting lackeys.

The latest batch of lackeys sat slumped on the bare ground. They had forgotten everything good and plentiful in their lives, all they now remembered was lack, and the more they thought about lack, the more depressed they became and slouched some more. They fluctuated between self-pity and self loathing. This life of lack seemed alien to them. They wondered why it seemed alien, as they couldn't even remember where they came from.

Suddenly they heard a voice behind them, saying, “These Lacks are going to severely harm you”.

.When the lackeys turned around they said to the visitor, in a listless tone, “Oh, you’re new here. The Lacks have done us no harm.”

“True, but you will soon be brought to such depths of despair, that you will harm yourself.”

All at once, the lackeys turned to face the visitor and staring into his face, one of them whispered, “Do you know where you’re coming from and where you are going, and do you also know who you are?”

“Yes”, replied the visitor.

None of the lackeys who dwelt there could answer that question in the affirmative.

The lackeys, who had been sluggish, now turned lively. They jumped up with joy, “We know who you are………you are ………”

“Never mind about who we are, do you know who you are?” asked the visitor.

“We sure do, for the Lord has opened our eyes” they said, and immediately they began to hurriedly throw off the lackey uniform they were wearing. Beneath were the clothes they had originally worn. “We also know that the Lord our God has sent you,” said one of the multitude, kicking the lackey uniforms as far away as he could.

“Yes, He has,” said the visitor. “Many of us have been sent here to you. Now go and stand in the middle of the Square and proclaim all that the Lord has shown you. Make known to all that they too can leave Lack City, if they so desire. And to those who do not know our Lord Jesus Christ, tell them about Him.”

As the multitude, which had now come to their senses, looked around, they saw that the visitor had climbed up and pulled down a horn and  signaled to his companions who had surrounded the city walls, and were there, to help assist the mass departure from Lack City.

The multitudes did as the visitor had said. They shared with all the lackeys who had been sitting on the ground, heads bowed, wishing for death, rather than the miserable life they were leading, all that the Lord had shown them. Then facing toward those who had never known the Lord Jesus Christ they proclaimed the gospel.

The Lack family was gnashing their teeth, covering their ears, “these are our lackeys, they serve us ….and you cannot preach about your God here, on our territory.”

The Square was filled with lackey uniforms of those who chose to leave.

The raid had been successful. I saw now at the end of this vision, that more were leaving  Lack City, than had entered it at the beginning of the vision.

Never in the history of Lack City had there been such a mammoth flight.

The people now ran to where the Lord had told them to go, screaming with joy along the way, “NO MORE LACK CITY!”

Jeremiah 20:13

13 Sing unto the Lord, praise ye the Lord: for he hath delivered the soul of the poor from the hand of evildoers.
