VISION: SHOOT-OUT AT SUNDOWN
11TH JUNE 2007
For the past several days, this vision keeps recurring, so I would like to share it here.
I saw a large dry, hot, arid ground. To my extreme left and extreme right were large mounts of coal slag.
I was shown a hidden entrance in the coal slag.
Next, I found myself underground in a large place that had no windows, so there was no natural light or air, but was well-lit by electricity.
Beneath the mount of coal slag, I was shown a full fledged ‘ordinance factory’. There were some calligraphers wearing magnifying eye-gear, writing something on very thin off-white painted metal. Others were molding the metals into guns.
Those who occupied this factory had lived and worked there almost all of their lives.
Everyone was busy working diligently and hard, fully immersed in their occupation, of manufacturing these strange looking guns, and ammunition.
The Lord Stood there Watching, but they saw Him not.
Next:
I was also shown the identical ‘Ordinance factory’, under the mount of coal-slag on the other side, it too looked similar and ran identical activities.
Next:
It was now sundown. I saw one man emerge from either side. Each wore a cap and gown, as do those who have received their doctorates. Both were the leaders of their respective ordinance factories.
Writ large atop the slag heap on my left was : ………
OLOGIES: A to L
On the mount of the slag heap on my right was an equally large sign :……….
OLOGIES: M to Z
All day long these ‘doctors’ would spend their entire time manufacturing guns from all kinds of ologies from their theologies, and preparing deadly bullets.
At sundown they would challenge others with ologies to come to this barren ground and shoot out their differences with their ‘ology guns’.
These two doctors had shot the others out of the competition, and amalgamated the losers’ ordinance factories with their own. They had retained what was useful to them, and thrown out the ‘irrelevant’.
It was sundown and the two doctors had decided to shoot it out, so as to establish, one undisputed winner.
The Lord Stood there Watching, but they saw Him not.
The ‘capped and gowned doctors’, started shooting at each other. Anyone who strayed into the cross-fire fell to the ground from these bullets.
The bullets were strange. They were made of dull brass, but inside each were various scriptures that they used to prove their ologies.
I was shocked to see people knocked down by bible verses. Their various ologies were in different shaped guns, but all their ammunition was varied verses from the bible.
I was horrified.
“Lord, can bible verses kill?” I asked.
“The letter kills”, replied the Lord.
The shoot-out ended in a draw, with both sides having many bodies strewn around them.
The Lord now Stood between the two ‘capped and gowned doctors’. Suddenly their eyes were opened to see Him.
“Lord”, they requested excitedly, both at once, “You have Seen our expertise, now let us take our ologies and set up franchises all over the world so that……………”.
Before they could finish speaking a sudden Wind causing quite a dust storm around them, lifted them up and transported them into a remote corner of the world.
These ‘capped and gowned doctors’ now found themselves in a tribal village.
A prayer meeting was underway. Midway through, the intercessors opened their eyes, and saw a great light and the ‘capped and gowned doctors’ standing at the doorway, in that Light.
They quickly rose to welcome the visitors. These guests actually believed that the Lord had brought them here to propagate their ologies.
As they looked around in disdain, they both wished though that the Lord had taken them to a metropolis, in any developed nation, than bring them here to the ‘back of beyond’.
As they squatted on the floor, the hosts quickly brought them food and water, at which the guests turned up their noses.
Looking suspiciously at the food and water, they both declined partaking of it. ‘ This water is not filtered, and this food, what is it?”
“Ant paste, it’s the staple diet here”, replied the translator, who understood their language.
Suddenly a young child who had died in the field was brought into the room by a grieving mother. She wept, holding the child in her arms.
The leader beckoned to the ‘doctors’ to pray.
The ‘capped and gowned doctors’ were horrified. “We’ve never prayed these kind of prayers!”
“ Dead is dead, in any language,” reasoned one of the ‘doctors’, “why pray, and waste God’s time?”
Nonetheless, the leader and those gathered there, prayed and the child rose up. The mother fell prostrate thanking and praising God.
The Lord was there Watching. The villagers knew it, but the guests knew it not.
Suddenly, a man who had been persecuting the villagers for their faith in Christ, was brought in on a stretcher. The ‘doctors’ enquired who the man was.
This man, they were told, had over the years, burnt down many of their homes, and several had died. He had been responsible for falsely accusing some among them, and for that reason, quite a few of their brethren were in jail serving long sentences, for crimes they did not commit.
The survivors and relatives of those who had died stood in that room. The families of those jailed were also present in that room.
Outraged, one ‘cap and gowned doctor’ said, “Can you not see that the judgment of God is upon this man? I say, do not pray for him, let him pay for his sins. He doesn't deserve our prayers.'
The Lord was there Watching. The villagers knew it, but the guests knew it not.
Ignoring what the guest had said, those gathered there, knelt down besides the stretcher.
The doctors watched in amazement as these simple villagers spoke tenderly with the sick man, but they understood not what was being said.
In a short while, the man rose up from the stretcher and fell prostrate on the floor. Then he rose from the floor and danced and praised and worshipped the Living God.
The Lord was there Watching. The villagers knew it, but the guests knew it not.
Many others who were sick, came forward for prayers, but the guests moved away from them. " What a stinking bunch!" they complained, " don't know what sickness we'll pick up just from touching these!"
These guests could smell urine on the children's clothes and it was making them nauseous. All the sights and sounds of these tribal, were alien and obnoxious to them. These 'cap and gown doctors' had spent most of their lives in their ordinance factories. For that matter, all 'people' smells were alien and obnoxious to them.
Next:
The meeting that had been interrupted by all these sudden interruptions now re-convened.
The guests thinking that their moment had arrived to preach their ologies, rose up from the floor and uninvited made their way to the front, carrying with them their weapons. They were yet more impressed with their own ologies than the miracles and all else that the Lord had them witness.
They beckoned to the translator, to come stand besides them to translate all that they were about to share. The translator offered them a bible. Refusing it, the ‘doctors’ flung wide open their gowns. Inside their gowns were multiple pockets, filled with varied type of ology guns and bullets.
The listeners looked perplexed, as did the translator. Nothing they heard, made any sense to them. The doctors laid their guns and bullets on the table, preparing to demonstrate.
“What exactly are you preaching?” the translator asked, interrupting the guests.
“Ologies”, replied one doctor.
The Lord was there Watching. The villagers knew it, but the guests knew it not.
“ What good are your ologies?” asked the translator, “they stop you from eating and drinking, they stop you from praying to raise the dead, they stop you from forgiving, from loving.……….”
The other ‘doctor’, pompously pulling together the front sides of his gown pushed forward, and interrupting the translator, said, “We are preaching our ologies to which we have dedicated our whole lives! And what pray do you preach?” he asked sarcastically.
“We preach Christ Crucified”, replied the leader rising up from the floor on which he had been squatting.
Suddenly the room shook and swung around.
When the shaking stopped the ‘capped and gowned doctors’ found themselves squatted on the floor and the leader standing in the front, preaching.
The guests now could see the Lord, Standing there Watching.
“Lord, tell these illiterates why you brought us here, was it not that we might teach them?”
“No,” Replied the Lord, “I did not bring you here to teach, but to learn”.

6Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
