VISION: THE WOMAN AND THE FIELD

VISION: THE WOMAN AND THE FIELD

8th October 2009

I saw this vision yesterday.

I saw a woman standing on a stony path. Before her, was a vast field.

The woman was to go work in the field, but she stood on the opposite side, upon this stony path, looking agitated.

She was furious.

The woman looked like a Hollywood actress.

Her hair was blow-dried and with hair spray, fashionably turned up, and held away from her forehead.

She wore a waist length jacket made of thick white cloth. Her extremely tight white skirt, which on the surface, looked like it was made of the same cloth, had made her not only extremely uncomfortable, but unable to move her legs.

She was waving her fist in the air.

I noticed that the cloth had actually been painted white.

As I wondered what this woman was doing, I was shown what had transpired with her long ago.

( I understood within the vision that she had been standing in that place for quite a long while)

What had transpired with the woman, in the past.............

The woman had been on her way to the field, dressed in her humble farm dress. As she neared the field, she paused.

The vast size of the field, which looked many times bigger than she'd previously thought, overwhelmed her.

" This field is simply too big for me to work in, I am alone..........and so little.........even if I toiled night and day, and worked my fingers to the bone, what would I alone accomplish, in so vast a field ......?" she muttered to herself.

She did not enter the green field, but rather stepped back, onto the stony barren path behind her, to look again at the field.

The more she gazed at it, the bigger the field  seemed and the more inadequate and alone and helpless she felt.

I saw that all the land behind that stony path, was barren and desolate. Covered in small and large heaps of stones.

As she gazed at the field, with her finger firmly held on her lips, looking rather perplexed, suddenly, an old man came and stood before her.

The man had a hunchback and was bending forward swaying his limp arms, before him.

The woman was startled seeing him, but after the initial shock, her gaze returned to the field, and she continued to look more and more perplexed.

The bent old man, quietly chuckled to himself, when he saw the woman's expression.

"What's the matter?" he asked.

" Oh! Nothing........Jut that this field is larger than I thought it would be.........Any work I get done there, will seem like a drop in the ocean.......strange thing is, the more I look at it, the larger it gets............where would I begin?" the woman replied.

She was losing hope and was now in the throes of despair.

" Well, I guess, I better get going..............." she said with great reluctance.

I saw that she did not move, but continued to stand on that stony ground.

The old bent man, stepped right in front of her again, and this time, he forcefully blocked her path.

She could have pushed him aside but as she was in no hurry to get to the field, she thought she'd find out what the man wanted. The man looked too old and bent, to be able to cause her any harm. She was a tall woman, and this short, frail looking old man did not frighten her.

The bent old man, glanced contemptuously at her humble farm dress, and simple hairstyle and said to her, " You don't really intend to go to work looking like THAT, do you? In these silly clothes?"

"Why? What's wrong with these clothes?" she asked. She felt insulted.

Her eyes were off the field and now on her clothes, as she examined them.

" Just look at yourself, you look like a peasant! haven't you heard, that when you dress good, you feel good? Now, let me tell you, " he boasted, " I am a top notch tailor, and if you like, I can tailor you some nice clothes. I can give you an entirely new look. When you look good, you feel good, you work good. .......you feel better about yourself, you become more productive. If you'll just wait awhile, it'll take me  a little time, but I'll tailor for you a most fashionable outfit , you'll look like a million dollars! You know what I mean....."

The woman never stopped to wonder, why she needed to look like a million dollars, to work in the field.

The woman had jumped at the offer, and agreed to wait till he readied her new clothes.

When at first she saw what the bent old man had tailored, she was delighted, but for a split moment hesitated.........." But this look like a business suit.........it's pretty, but how can I wear a business suit to work in the field?" she asked, " and those high heeled shoes don't look very practical do they?"

"Well, if it's your father's business you're going on, what's better to work in, than a business suit?" said the bent old man. He combed and sprayed her hair, and handed the 'business suit', over into her custody, and waved her goodbye.

The woman, hurriedly discarded her humble farm dress and got into the 'business suit'. There was no mirror, so she couldn't see herself, but she felt good, so she thought, she must look as good as she felt.

Suddenly, the knee-length tight shirt, wrapped tightly around her knees and was now all solid plaster, within. The plaster was covered with the suit material, so from the outside it looked like thick cloth.

The woman was livid. She could not move! The tight fitting waist length jacket had no plaster within, so she had limited movement in her arms.

Where had the tailor disappeared to?

The woman stood fixed on the spot.

Burning with ever increasing rage, she was shaking her fist. If only she could get hold of that tailor.

The bent old man, was hiding behind a heap of stones, where she could not see him. He was chuckling to himself, as he watched the woman, vent her rage.

The old man had wanted to restrict her movements by the new clothing. It seemed he was not really concerned that the woman could move her arms about a little, his main aim was to completely stop her feet from moving. As long as the woman's knees were bound together in plaster, she could not reach where she was called to go. This it seemed was the old man's ultimate goal. He did not mind that the woman had limited movements in her arms, but her legs must completely be restricted from moving, lest she run to do that which she was called to do. The bent old man did not want that to happen.

By now, much time had been wasted.

The woman's skirt had so tightly bound her knees together, in plaster, that she could at most, slightly shuffle her feet. On the stony uneven path, the danger was that if she shuffled too fast, she could fall and hit her head on the stones. The fancy high-heeled shoes, the tailor had given her to wear, were so tightly binding and restricting her, that for hours, she did nothing, but stand on the spot and rage at the tailor. She wanted the tailor to come and free her from all the restrictions that had come upon her, due to the 'business suit', and fancy shoes etc.

That's what had transpired with this woman in the past.

I now understood why the woman was in a rage, and who it was that she was shaking her fist at.

I watched as this woman continued for a while longer, to rage at the tailor, and shout that he come at once and put right the skirt.

At first, the 'business suit', had made her feel so good, feel taller and more elegant than she was. But within no time at all, the plaster within, bound her.

Now she was immobile, uncomfortable and very, very angry.

For a moment, she looked away from her 'business suit', and up at the sky. She had come to this place in the early hour, but had wasted so much time standing on the stony path. Now she didn't care how large the field looked, if only she could go there and at least begin the work, she had been sent to do.

How foolish she had been.

Her fist now unclenched, in shame, she momentarily covered her face with both hands, wondering what to do. She realised how foolish she had been to actually believe that tailor. Her humble farm dress was perfect for working in the field.

If only she could get out of these foolish garments and get back into her working clothes. She tried with her hands to tear the skirt, but it was impossible. She could not do it.

As she turned her eyes to the right side, away from the skirt, she saw a large Rock appear, beside her. Upon the Rock were a pair of special scissors. With her right hand, she reached for the scissors, and with effortless ease, cut open the skirt. I saw that whilst she did this, the Rock reached for the place where the tailor had been hiding, and toppled the pile of stones upon the bent old man. He could hide no more, he was now buried under the pile of stones.

Besides the entrance of the farm, was a flowing stream. The woman quickly gathered up her farm clothes, and lay them on the dry ground, whilst she bathed in the stream. Having bathed in the stream, she now put back on, the humble farm clothes, and entered the field.

Suddenly, just as she entered the field, she saw that she had been provided with abundant divine help.

When she had stood on the stony path, she had been able to see only an empty field.

She now understood, that only once she entered the field, that the divine help provided, became visible. The divine helpers had  been there in the field, long before she had arrived there. Just that she could not see them, until she entered the field.

The woman rejoiced.

She skipped and she danced.

She understood now, that her Father had not sent her there to gaze at the field from afar, but to work in it.

Looking from afar, the size of the field, had caused her so many doubts, that it had led her faith and courage momentarily to seemingly fail her. Had she kept to her path, and not been intimidated by the size of the field, but walked right in, she would have immediately seen the divine helpers her Father had provided for her.

The bent old tailor had seen her doubting and dilly dallying, and jumped in to take her focus off the task set before her.

But now, the ever-increasing size of the field did not trouble the woman anymore.

She understood that though the field looked ever-increasing in size, there would equally be ever-increasing divine helpers in the field to help her finish that which she had been sent to do. She would not lack help. She would not be toiling alone, as she had once feared.

As she joyfully looked around within the field, she saw that there were sufficient divine helpers there, to help her complete her given work.

They had been awaiting her in the field. Her Father had sent them there before her.

As long as she had stood outside the field, she could not see them. But when she stepped into the field, in faith, she saw them.

As the woman went about her work with cheerfulness of heart, I saw that the reflection of the sun, made her face to shine.

Swarna-
What a marvelous exhortation on being properly (spiritually)attired, with an attitude of vision and provision. The "tailor", of course, likes to offer beautiful "bindings"; the Master, Yeshua clothes us in righteousness---the simplicity of the Gospel---to do His works. He gives ALL the vision, provision, and fulfills all needs.
