VISION: THORNS IN THEIR SOLES

Vision: Thorns In Their Soles
13th July 2007

I saw this vision, a few weeks ago. Since it continues to recur I would like to share it.

I saw people from the world over regularly come to a vast open space, wherein lay a Table covered in white cloth. Upon it was Bread and Wine.

Some people came directly to the Table along the path prescribed by the Lord.
But many other ‘curious’ ones, loved to take a detour, and amble along forbidden paths.

Before the people arrived at the Table, they would pass a very dazzling looking gate, which was tucked away, from the prescribed path, from which emanated music and smells which were nostalgic to many. On large screens placed above the gate, passers by could see their arch-rivals / enemies, mocking them with the same harsh words that those walking past this gate had been hurt by, minutes, days, months, years ago. They saw the faces of those who had not only succeeded in life but far surpassed them. Just seeing their faces again, made them feel inferior comparatively and this made them extremely angry.

“COME GET EVEN” read the invitation, writ large upon the gate.

There were those who chose to walk into this gate, although some behind them warned them not to.

At the dazzling gate, each was given a pass, which read:
YOUR PERSONALIZED WILDERNESS EXPERIENCE IN 6 EASY SESSIONS

As these walked on, the path inside the gate had several arterial lanes. Wherever they walked mocking /accusing sounds/faces from the past blared through speakers, and flashed on screens. Everything looked so real, those inside thought it was a live interactive relay. So all inside this gate rushed to the microphones provided there, marked:

“GIVE THEM A PEACE OF YOUR MIND”.

There was a stampede as all rushed to argue back, scream and yell at the mockers and ‘enemies’ flashing on the screens and heard through the loudspeakers. They could not bear to see the faces of those who had succeeded far beyond they had.

After they had spent a little time in this lane they were firmly ushered out, by officials within, and told they could continue their journey to the Table, and return again for the following session, before they next came to the Table.
The people were now hooked, they were loathe to leave. There was so much more they had wanted to say to those they saw on the screen.

Reluctantly, they walked to the exit. Just before they stepped out of the gate, a thorn pricked the sole of their feet.
These had entered with shoes, but running hither and thither to speak into mikes, to answer each and every accusation, shouted at them through the screens, their shoes now had holes in them.

Past this gate they hobbled to the Table which was a distance away.

They hurriedly partook of the Bread and the Wine, their minds were on rushing back to the next session of the PERSONALIZED WILDERNESS EXPERIENCE. They were remembering the things they’d forgotten to say to those mockers on the screen.

In this way, these people would rush through the partaking of the Bread and Wine in a ritualistic manner and limp back to the dazzling gate. Each time they entered in, they shouted, screamed, yelled, and cried at the screen until they were hoarse.

Every trip there made new holes in their shoes, and added more thorns to their soles.
Now several trips later, they had no shoes at all, only thorns, as their footwear was so worn out in this ‘wilderness experience’.

The people now wanted more sessions, as the six sessions were not enough. They had dug up history books and had very detailed, logically drafted out counter charges to make against those faces on the screen. They had so much to say!
To make the session more ‘just’, guns and whips had now been placed below the screens. The people could whip and shoot, whomsoever they adjudged most deserving of death.

When one asked, “ But the Old Testament says: Thou shalt not kill”.
“ Ah!” replied the dazzling gate official, “ Read the old testament, everyone killed and destroyed their enemies, none could leave the wilderness till all enemies were destroyed”.

When some complained to the official there, that the thorns were hurting, and what they were suffering was now too much to bear, and that those who walked on the prescribed path were asking why they were suffering so much.

“Tell them does not the bible say that those on a wilderness experience suffer?” replied the official, who handing them a Scripture, asked “do you not know this verse?.....’ though he slay me, ………”
Repeat this a hundred times a day, over and over again, “I am as righteous as Job, I am on my wilderness journey, I know not when it ends”, and stick what Job said, on your refrigerators, and every portal”.

Within the vision I was reminded of this Scripture: 1 Peter 2:20a (King James Version)
20For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently?

Towards the end of the vision, I saw their soles were completely covered in thorns. Lest others see them limping to the Table, they wore thick socks and garments that covered their shoeless feet. They moved about on their toes as the rest of their soles were covered in thorns.

Stood on their toes, others around them who were undiscerning, thought they'd grown in stature!

These 'thorned soles', avoided others seeing them too closely, and traveled out mostly in the night.

Within the vision, it appeared that years had now passed by and many of these were still limping painfully, others crawling. They were in pain pain pain.

Caution: THIS VISION IS NOT REFERRING TO THOSE WHO ARE WALKING RIGHT WITH GOD BUT YET ARE SUFFERING, FOR HIS DIVINE PURPOSES.

What I believe the Lord is Saying:

This vision is essentially referring to those, who have brought suffering upon themselves due to their own wrong-doing. Like Ahab, they’ve coveted and nursed hurts, been sullen and displeased because they could not get 'Naboth’s vineyards!'

These are those who have not forgiven nor forgotten hurts they suffered. Steeped in jealousy at the success of others, they waste precious time looking for faults in others, desire to avenge themselves for imaginary hurts. They have not repented of their sins, but rather heaped some more upon themselves. They are deluded into thinking that they are ‘going through a divine wilderness experience’, when really their sufferings and torments are self-inflicted.

They see faults in others, but are blind to their own.

They are stagnating, and their lives are stationary.

Such as these have made a mockery of the Lord’s Table.

To those with thorns in their soles, be not deluded……………..

REPENT REPENT REPENT

1 Peter 2:20 (King James Version)
20For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.

James 1:13
13Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

1 Peter 4:14-19 (King James Version)
14If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
15But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.
16Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
17For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
18And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
19Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

How do you recognize the deluded ones?

They hide their walk!
