Vision: Window Pains

VISION: WINDOW PAINS

8TH JUNE 2007

In prayer late last night, I saw this vision.

I saw a traveling salesman.

He was lugging windows on his back and convincing those that passed by that they needed new windows.
There were those who said they did not need any, as their eyes were the windows of their soul.

“Ah!” the salesman replied knowledgeably, “but do you not know that all windows need double-glazing, to keep out the bright blinding light, the insects, the wind and the rain and the dust? This double-glazing will protect you”

Many it appeared did not know that! They were impressed by all that the salesman said and flocked for these new ‘double-glazed’ windows.

Others passing by heard the salesman and said, “What utter nonsense, Jesus Christ Protects our windows, not some new fangled double-glazing stuff”, and walked away wasting no further time with the salesman, or the crowd.

The double-glazed windows were fitted over the eyes, of all the eager buyers who were convinced that this was a ‘must-have’ item.

Those fitted with the double glazed windows now found that the Bright Light of the day was truly blinding them. They fitted some blinds in the windows to block out the Light.

In the due course of time, the rains came and went, and dust settled on the window panes.Bird droppings over a period of time, stained the windows. Passing traffic, splashed wet dirt, on their window panes.

The salesman had told these buyers that the windows were self-cleaning; many had found this to be a unique feature, so they eagerly bought these windows.
So when they removed the blinds and looked through the windows, presuming them to be clean, they thought that the life they saw outside, through the stains, was the actual reality.

Looking through these double glazed windows was now becoming a strain.
Whatever they saw pained them. Even though the day outside was bright, to them, due to the uncleanness of the window panes, horrific pictures conjured up in their minds. The dust on the windows looked like a sand storm, the bird droppings looked like reptiles. It truly was painful looking out of these windows panes. It looked dull, dark and cloudy and frightening.

Those with double glazed windows now due to the dirt and filth on the panes, saw nightmarish things that did not exist. Their eyes strained to see, but whatever they saw due to the dirt and now stubborn stains on the window panes, caused their hearts to despair.

Their window panes were causing them pain.

When they communicated with others who too had bought double glazed windows, they all agreed that it was truly painful to look out of the windows.

Seasons had come and seasons had gone. The window pains grew and multiplied.
Everything outside looked bleak and scary. From all that they saw, they decided that it was best not to venture out. They stayed put within these double-glazed windows.

Then a Voice was heard, “Seek Me”.

Startled, by the Voice, I heard one with these double-glazed windows say, “Who said that?”

The Voice Spoke again, “Seek Me”.

One who faintly recognized the Voice to be that of the Lord’s said, “ Lord, how can we go out to seek You, just look through these windows, there’s a sand storm brewing outside”.

“Seek Me and you will find Me”, Said the Voice.

The Lord was Standing right besides one of these, but the person could not see. What the person saw instead was a frightening Shadow.

The buyers of double-glazed windows, quickly communicated with each, “Do you see how He has Come to Frighten us, to add to our sorrows and griefs and pains?”
The Presence of the Lord, seen through these stubborn dirt-stained windows was for such as these, indeed frightening.

The Lord now Stood on the inside of the double-glazed windows, so they could see Him Clearly. But then He would Move again and all that people could see was a frightening Shadow. The Lord did this several times. One moment He would Appear clearly, and the next moment move away, only to be seen through the double-glazed window panes.

Those who saw this occasional Bright Light, were perplexed.

One day as they stood at their double-glazed windows, perplexed and pained, again they saw a Bright Light, but this time they also saw a large tent, it had green and white stripes, it was pitched in the middle of the earth, and on it was written boldly and in large letters, “FREE EYE-CHECK”

People from all the nations flocked to the Free Eye Check camp.

The Lord was there.

I saw the double-glazed windows removed and the people no more had window pains, rather all that the Lord now Showed them brought them joy and understanding.
The Lord, they saw clearly was not a ‘frightening shadow’ but oh! So Gentle.
I saw men and women, fall prostrate in the Eye Camp.

As they rose up, with their arms open wide, dancing and rejoicing in the rains, in sheer joy, they sang,

“Our God is Good, our God is Good, our God is Good”,
He is Gentle, He is Meek, He is Just.
Our God is Good, our God is Good, our God is Good.”

As they beheld the Beauty of the Lord, no more were there ‘window pains’ just glorious gains!

Job 42:5-6 (New International Version)

5 My ears had heard of you
but now my eyes have seen you.
6 Therefore I despise myself
and repent in dust and ashes."

Job 42:5-6 (Amplified Bible)

5I had heard of You [only] by the hearing of the ear,
but now my [spiritual] eye sees You.
6Therefore I loathe [my words] and abhor myself and repent in dust and ashes.

Job 42:5-6 (King James Version)

5I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear:
but now mine eye seeth thee.
6Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.
