VISION: PICK UP THE TYPEWRITER

VISION: PICK UP THE TYPEWRITER
3rd December 2007

I saw this vision on the 30th November 2007, around a couple of hours after I saw Vision: The Dance of the Olive Tree.

VISION: PICK UP THE TYPEWRITER

I saw a lady sitting on the ground at a road-side, cupping her face with both hands, elbows resting on her knees. She looked perplexed.

In the middle of the road was an old fashioned heavy looking typewriter.

The lady had heard a Gentle Voice Say to her, “Pick up the typewriter".

Her own prayer to the Lord had been that He Give her exact directions to His Highway, as she saw that many on the road, were turning back, unable to find the Highway.

She had come so far, and she did not want to turn back.

She had left her home, with two large giant-sized suitcases on wheels, which were filled to the bursting and with both hands she had been wheeling these suitcases along.

To the east, the road narrowed and turned around a Mountain. I saw that that narrow road, led to a Highway, and though this road I saw had great traffic, few among them actually got on the Highway.

Just before one could enter the Highway, was an opening that looked like the eye of a giant-sized needle. No person carrying baggage could fit through that opening.

Instructions were clear, NO BAGGAGE.

This offended many in the traffic. Some people were traveling in fancy cars, others in bullock carts, others on fancy motorbikes that looked like collectors' items.

They had bags full of old sale deeds, letters from lovers, valentine cards, clothes that looked like stage costumes, and all such things they considered valuable.

The non-negotiable condition that they could not take with them their favorite things with which they had become so attached, and now inseparable, offended them.

They preferred to return rather than continue on His Highway.

None from the traffic that was going towards the Highway, stopped to talk to the lady, they simply circumvented the typewriter on the road and carried on.

But these returnees, with much baggage, had plenty of time on hand. So when they saw the lady sitting on the ground looking perplexed, they slowly gathered to her. Now the group of by-standers was slowly assembling in the shape of a horse shoe, and the lady sat on the ground, was in the middle.

Then they each began to ask her why she sat staring at the typewriter. So she told them, " I asked the Lord to Direct me to His Highway, and after I finished praying, and walked on, I saw this typewriter in the middle of the road. I heard a still small voice say to me, “Pick up the typewriter".".

" Ha, ha, ha, “said one man, from the group, "God would never say pick up the typewriter, He warns us against works, and have you not read the bible? If He Wanted you to have the typewriter it would gracefully land in your lap, so I say, no, you have not heard the voice of God that must be the enemy."

And the man walked away, shaking his head, said in disgust, “Women are so gullible".

Another, passer-by, stopped and heard the conversation and said to the woman, "Hmmmmmmmmmm, if I remember right...........There were no typewriters in God's Time, so no.......I would say you did not hear from God".

A man wearing a bowler hat and carrying an umbrella in one hand and wheeling a trolley full of books in the other, summoned his companions who all had doctorates in theology, who also were wheeling trolleys filled with books, he stopped to listen in, said," Now, let us study the Scripture very carefully", and all these book lovers quickly rummaged in their trolleys and brought out the Greek, the Latin, Hebrew, English and other language concordances, commentaries, and excitedly leafed through the pages.

These men full of self-importance, shooed back the crowd, that was gathering to the woman, “Leave this to the experts chaps," said the man with the bowler hat.

"Let's see now .........'T' for typewriters..........no....no 'typewriter' mentioned in the Hebrew, Greek, Chinese, English, Pushtu, versions, but let's see now, here we are, we have 'writers' but no 'type', so that proves that though the 'writer' word may well be from God, the word 'type' is conspicuous by it's absence. Therefore," said the man with the bowler hat, with great condescension” I conclude that this word is a mixture, the 'writer' part may well be from God, but 'type' is not. Now we know that God will never Send a mixed message........."

Whilst the man with the bowler hat was talking, an elongated white limousine stopped, and the electric windows rolled down.

Bodyguards emerged from the white limo, and all around suddenly became silent as they watched a woman emerge from the car. She wore a dress that had extra large rhinestones on it. The collar of the fancy dress had electric light bulbs and a diamond studded string attached to it.
She had with her a large group of lackeys and they all stood reverently, as she stepped out. The woman's heavily powder caked face looked like she'd used a trowel to put on her make up.

She emerged dramatically from her car, in a slow and deliberate manner, to ensure that all attention be upon her and none other.
She had diamond worry beads and she was rolling them as she chanted, “I am a new creation, I am a new creation, I am a new creation......"

“She’s not lying," whispered a man in a grey suit, walking behind her, " She is a new creation, and I should know, I'm her plastic surgeon, and here's my business card."

The woman walked up to the lady sitting on the ground, and others gathered there moved back a little to make room for the flashy new entrant.

“Listen honey," said the flashy 'new creation', to the lady sitting on the ground. " Many times, I've seen a big wooden cross on the ground, and I've heard a voice say, " pick up the cross and follow Me," I know immediately that God Could never Say that, 'cause I'm already carryin' a cross, look............", she said pointing to a diamond studded designer cross, hanging around her neck.

The entire crowd gathered there, shook as if they had had a revelation. All in the crowd had on crosses around their neck, some gold colored, some silver colored, and some steel. They too had heard a Voice Say, “Pick up the cross and follow Me”, and they too had disbelieved that it was the Voice of God, as they were already carrying a cross, hung on thick chains, around their necks. “What a confirmation!” they all thought to themselves, as they listened to the flashy ‘new creation’.

“I’m carryin' my cross too", they shouted.

Seeing that she was making a big impact on the crowd, she quickly looked back and winked at her bouncer who stood right behind her and signaled with her many ringed fingers that he fetch something out of the car, and then she continued speaking.

“So what I'm sayin' is this honey, our God is a rich God, did He Give King Solomon a typewriter? No He Gave Solomon all the riches in the world, don't you see? So why would God want a child of His, to pick up a 'typewriter'? Why not a new jet, or cars, or a diamond studded dress?

Let me share a little testimony. One morning I woke up, and ran to the mirror in our large gold faucetted bathroom and held my foot to the mirror, and in faith, said seven hundred and seventy seven times, “I believe my feet will be shod in alligator boots. And guess what? I was flying with America's top cobbler on board my luxury aircraft and my husband, who was in ‘high spirits’, lay leaning on the bar, suddenly shouted, “Look honey, I see 2 alligators..."

So we landed there, in the jungles, had a great crusade. I laid hands on the natives, and prayed for their land to be developed into a resort, by my businessman husband, and sent round the offering bag, and lo and behold, the headman of the tribe tithed 2 alligators to me. One I had placed in the pond in my gated property and the other I gave to the top cobbler to make me a pair of alligator boots. $20,000 was the cost and they were well worth it, the congregation paid for it. Yeah sure, they raised a ruckus those officials at the airport, I just said these are religious alligators and are tax exempt”.

And then looking hastily at her expensive watch she said, "Look honey what I'm saying is this, you have not heard from God". The flashy ‘new creation’ woman now turned to the crowd gathered there and told the bouncer to pass around the velvet embroidered offering bag amidst the crowd.

" I never leave home without this bag", she said smiling at the crowd, " You've just heard my sermon now give generously."

With the offering bag bulging, she turned once more towards the bouncer and signaled him, again. Within minutes he set up a table just a few feet away from the lady seated on the ground.

The flashy ‘new creation’ said, “The message you’ve just heard is now available on C.D. and DVD, for a small donation of $7777, it can be yours, for keeps.” The people flocked to her table, and within minutes all the wares were sold and in a flash, the ‘new creation’ and her entourage were soon gone.

Now a new group of by-standers again gathered around the lady sitting on the ground, again, in a horse shoe formation, with her in the centre.

One among them said, “To understand the deep things of God, you need covering. Only when a cover is over you can you rightly discern”.

A young man on skates, his clothing covered with several portable gadgets, quickly interrupted, “ duh…….I dunno ‘bout da coverin’ ………what I can’t figure out is why a typewriter? Why couldn’t God have placed a laptop in the middle of the road? Nah……………., we serve a hi-tech God, why would He Ask you to pick up some obsolete technology? I………”

Another by-stander in the horse shoe formation, looked at the young man with great contempt, and said, “Did Adam have a typewriter? Did Moses type? So if God did not give the Patriarchs typewriters, why would He do so now? Nah…………all this is the technology of demons, and ma’am with all due respect to ya an’ all, but seems to me you ain’t heard from God at all”.

A man nattily dressed surrounded by his several women, passing by, stopped and said to the lady on the ground, “You need a husband and not a typewriter, come on, get up and follow me, join my household.”

The sounds of foolish counsel filled the air, the lady on the ground could bear it no longer, “ SHOOOOOOOOOOOOO……………..GO…………….Get out………, get out all of you, go………….leave me alone…………….”

As the people dispersed, an anorexic looking woman in the crowd, burning with outrage looked back and pointing at the lady seated on the ground said, “That’s what I mean folks, did ya see the elitist attitude? Did ya hear what she said………….leave me ALONE? She’s following the ‘isolationist’ doctrine, the ‘I-am-more-superior-than-you-doctrine’, the ‘I-don’t-need-you’ doctrine. That’s how these folks develop into cults……….if God Had really Spoken, should she not have us, His followers around her, to weigh the word and test it and try it biblically, like………..I mean is this or is this not elitist, I ask ya ? She’s lookin’ down on us ‘cause we’re returnees. You see her pride? Her arrogance?”

The lady on the ground remained silent, she answered not. The crowd now dispersed.

“Forgive me Lord,” she wept, and fell prostrate on the road. “I will obey You Lord, I will seek no other counsel but Yours and Yours alone” she cried.

Now some in the crowd, who had gone some distance away from her, looked back and saw the lady lying prostrate on the road.

“Look, she’s fallen prostrate! She’s worshippin’ the typewriter! Didn’t I prophecy that this elitist business was cultish?” Said the anorexic looking woman.

The lady now refreshed and strengthened arose from the ground, and did as the Lord had Told her to do, a while back, she bent down to pick up the typewriter, and noticed that there was a silver lid in the place where the typewriter had sat.

She opened the lid, and inside was a light-weight bag. It had a map, and instructions on how to get to the Highway. Inside were sufficient provisions to help her get to the Highway. She understood in her spirit that that was the only bag she needed.

She dumped her two suitcases on the side of the road and skipped with joy as she approached the opening which looked like the eye of a needle. She stepped in and walked through successfully. Since the moment she had picked up the typewriter, she had been filled with a blessed assurance and peace, and she had had no doubt that she would fit through, for the bag she carried was one that the Lord Had Given her.
