How often have we been tempted to give up on God, on prayer, on
waiting, on patience and endurance, because God delayed in
answering prayer immediately? How many parents, after praying
for decades, have still not seen the salvation of a child? How many
believers have prayed night and day for healing, but still suffer or
have to behold the suffering of a loved-one? Not a few have prayed
and fasted for their financial needs to be met, and have agonized
because of mounting debt? BUT GOD…was in full control and had
a reason for the delay, for delays are not denials. We must keep
the bow string taut and continue to pray, for only God knows how
close to the crest of the hill we are. We must not give up despite
disappointments, for God will justify Himself and bring glory to
Himself. That great man of faith, Elijah, not only prayed to God for
rain. He also kept gazing toward the horizon for the tell-tale signs
of a cloud, until eventually a cloud the size of a man’s fist
appeared. He persevered until the heavens unleashed its glory,
and God’s word was fulfilled.

George H. Morrison in “Devotional Sermons” has given hope to the
weary. Read on, dear saint, and be reassured that “as soon as
you began to make your request, a reply was sent. I have come to
give you the reply…” (“You had no sooner started your prayer
when the answer was given” – Msg) – Daniel 9:23.

The Doctrine of Delays

....There are myriads of creatures who are born and dance and die
in the short span of a bright July day. No one in watching them
would ever dream of charging the Creator with delay. But a nation
of men which is to serve the high ends of heaven is never fashioned
hastily like that. Through pilgrimage and war and struggle and
blood and tears, by heroism that oft seems unavailing and sacrifice
that is like water spilt, it becomes the polished instrument of God.
Delay, then, tends to become more marked, the higher you rise in
the Creator's purposes. Great delays in the mystery of providence
are the highway for the chariot of great blessing. The joy that
cometh in the morning might be far less thrilling, had not the
weeping from which it springs endured all night.

Had Jesus forgotten Mary and Martha? We see this very clearly in
the raising of Lazarus—that tenderest and most touching of all
miracles. When Lazarus was ill - when his state had become critical -
Martha and Mary, you remember, sent word to Jesus. Now Jesus
loved Lazarus and his sisters, and the happiest memories
encircled that village home; yet the Gospel tells us that when
Jesus heard the news, He abode two days still in the place where
He was. There are seasons when two days seems like a moment;
there are seasons when two days seems an eternity. When a life
is in the balance half-an-hour is endless; twice four-and-twenty
hours is unbearable. What did it mean? Had Jesus quite forgotten
them? Was He deaf and dead to the prayers of the sisters' love? I
think that Martha and Mary, with their eyes on dying Lazarus,
knew the burden of divine delay. They knew its burden then; they
know its meaning now. They see it irradiated with purpose and
with wisdom. A little boon might have been granted instantly, but
the great actions of God have tardy wheels. The greater and richer
the blessing that we pray for, the more must we reckon on the
delays of God. Nor should we forget—for this is very important—
what I might call the moral training of delay. Did we get everything
we craved for in the very hour of asking it, I think it would be a long
farewell to manhood. The one sure way to ruin a young child is to
give it immediately all for which it asks; and to the Ancient of days,
whose hairs are white as wool (see Dan_7:9), I fancy the oldest
readers are but as little children.

Think of Christ's treatment of the Syro-phoenician woman when
she came to Him praying for her daughter. All her motherhood was
on her lips and in her eyes as she pled and interceded for her child.
Do you think it was cruel of Christ to answer her never a word?
Do you think it was harsh to speak about the dogs? How much
we should have missed, and how much Christ Himself would have
missed, had it not been for that practice of delay! It was that which
called out in her fine persistence, her faith, her wit, all that was
brightest in her. She might have been anybody when she began,
but she was a woman among women when she ended. And many
a person has begun by being anybody, and ended by being a
woman among women, because they were kept praying and
pleading long for something that was to be granted by and by.

Work reveals character, but so does waiting. Waiting shows the
baby or the man. We need to be tested to prove if we be worthy
just to receive and use the thing we crave. So it often is that God
delays, and will not answer us, and keeps us waiting. It is not in
scorn, but in the wisest love, that He will not for a while.

There Is Silent Preparation behind God's Delay

Then it is very helpful to remember that divine delay does not mean
inactivity. God is not idle when He does not answer us; He is
busier preparing the answer than we think. There have been men
of genius who could only work irregularly; for long periods they
seemed to do nothing at all. Then suddenly, and as if by inspiration,
their powers took fire and they wrought at a white heat. You may
be sure of it that the periods in between were not so idle as the
world considered them. By thought, by reading, by communion
with glad nature, half unconsciously they were preparing for their
work. And when the kindling came, and the fire burned within them,
when they were divinely swept into utterance or action, they owed
far more than we should ever guess to the silent preparation of
delay. As it is with men of genius, so with God, only in loftier and
nobler ways. His delays are not the delays of inactivity. They are
the delays of preparation. In an instant the tropical storm may
burst and break, yet for weeks—unseen—the storm has been
preparing. The sunshine of May comes, and all the world is green,
yet on God's loom of January that robe was being spun. And the
morning breaks when at last some prayer is answered, and the
desert rejoices and blossoms as the rose, yet the answer was
being fashioned in these very years when we said there was no
eye to pity and no arm to save.

It takes a million years to harden the ruby, says the poet, yet
through all the years the hardening goes on. It takes a century
for the sea to wear away one cliff, yet every night when we sleep
the breakers dash on it. So when we pray and strive and nothing
happens, till we are tempted to say "God does not know, God
does not care," who can tell but that, behind the veil, infinite love
may be toiling like the sea, to give us in the full time our heart's
desire?

"My Father worketh hitherto and I work." It is a mysterious word
of the Lord Jesus Christ. Perhaps God, like some of the busiest
men I know, is doing most when He seems to be doing nothing.
There Is Love in Delay And so in closing I would say to you: do
not lose heart at the delays of God. Speed, after all, is but a
relative term, and there is more love in God's slow method than
you think. I was staying the other week with some friends in
Ireland, when word came that our friend's place of business had
been broken into. It was a holiday and he was away in Galway,
and was not to be home again until that evening. Well, he came
home, very tired and famished, and a foolish wife would have
rushed out to meet him with the news; but his wife was not foolish,
she was Scotch and sensible, and she let him wash and eat and
rest himself a little; and then when he was ready to see things
rightly she broke the news, and I saw there was wisdom and love
in that delay.

You who are mothers here, and who look back on those sweet
years when your innocent children played about your feet, had you
never some great news to tell your children, yet you deliberately
withheld it for a time? "If we tell them tonight there will not be one
wink of sleep; if we tell them when they waken, there will not be
one bite of breakfast"; and so deliberately you held back the
blessing, and you did it just because you loved them so. If ye
then being evil, act like that, is it incredible that God should do
the same? Is it fair to distrust our Father, to say He has no pity,
to charge the heavens with being brass above us? I think it is
wiser to pray on, strive on, casting all doubts to the devil who
inspired them; believing in a love that never mocks us, and that
will give us our heart's desire in His own time.

"I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision." Acts 26:19

"If we lose the vision, we alone are responsible, and the way
we lose the vision is by spiritual leakage. If we do not run our
belief about God into practical issues, it is all up with the vision
God has given.
The only way to be obedient to the heavenly vision is to give
our utmost for God's highest, and this can only be done by
continually and resolutely recalling the vision. The test is the
sixty seconds of every minute, and the sixty minutes of
every hour, not our times of prayer and devotional meetings.

"Though it tarry, wait for it." We cannot attain to a vision,
we must live in the inspiration of it until it accomplishes itself.
We get so practical that we forget the vision. At the beginning
we saw it but did not wait for it; we rushed off into practical
work, and when the vision was fulfilled, we did not see it.
Waiting for the vision that tarries is the test of our loyalty
to God. It is at the peril of our soul's welfare that we get
caught up in practical work and miss the fulfilment of
the vision.

Watch God's cyclones. The only way God sows His saints is by
His whirlwind. Are you going to prove an empty pod? It will
depend on whether or not you are actually living in the light
of what you have seen. Let God fling you out, and do not go
until He does.
If you select your own spot, you will prove an empty pod.
If God sows you, you will bring forth fruit.

It is essential to practise the walk of the feet in the light
of the vision."

If God has called you to be truly like Jesus in all your spirit, He will draw you into a life of crucifixion and humility. He will put on you such demands of obedience that you will not be allowed to follow other Christians. In many ways, He seems to let other good people do things which He will not let you do.

Others who seem to be very religious and useful may push themselves, pull wires, and scheme to carry out their plans, but you cannot. If you attempt it, you will meet with such failure and rebuke from the Lord as to make you sorely penitent.

Others can brag about themselves, their work, their successes, their writings, but the Holy Spirit will not allow you to do any such thing. If you begin to do so, He will lead you into some deep mortification that will make you despise yourself and all your good works.

Others will be allowed to succeed in making great sums of money, or having a legacy left to them, or in having luxuries, but God may supply you only on a day-to-day basis, because He wants you to have something far better than gold, a helpless dependence on Him and His unseen treasury.

The Lord may let others be honored and put forward while keeping you hidden in obscurity because He wants to produce some choice, fragrant fruit for His coming glory, which can only be produced in the shade.

God may let others be great, but keep you small. He will let others do a work for Him and get the credit, but He will make you work and toil without knowing how much you are doing. Then, to make your work still more precious, He will let others get the credit for the work which you have done; this to teach you the message of the Cross, humility, and something of the value of being cloaked with His nature. The Holy Spirit will put a strict watch on you, and with a jealous love rebuke you for careless words and feelings, or for wasting your time which other Christians never seem distressed over.

So make up your mind that God is an infinite Sovereign and has a right to do as He pleases with His own, and that He may not explain to you a thousand things which may puzzle your reason in His dealings with you. God will take you at your word; if you absolutely sell yourself to be His slave, He will wrap you up in a jealous love and let other people say and do many things that you cannot. Settle it forever; you are to deal directly with the Holy Spirit, He is to have the privilege of tying your tongue or chaining your hand or closing your eyes in ways which others are not dealt with. However, know this great secret of the Kingdom: When you are so completely possessed with the Living God that you are, in your secret heart, pleased and delighted over this peculiar, personal, private, jealous guardianship and management of the Holy Spirit over your life, you will have found the vestibule of heaven, the high calling of God.

DREAM of the MIGRANT WORKERS

There is a huge immigration debate in America. Our borders are overrun with illegal migrant workers who are often depicted as: aliens, uneducated, dirty, fruit pickers, field hands. These prejudicial images and stereotypes aren't pretty.

Against this backdrop, I had a detailed dream where I was standing in a sea of people before the throne of God. I saw well known ministers, invisible ministers, people who had falsely accused me, people who had justly accused me, and many people I didn't know. Weird, but everyone had a black spot on their chest. The numbers were too vast to count. I was standing pretty close to a tele-evangelist known for $1,000 suits and for boasting of many healings. I had the distinct impression he was impatiently waiting for the Lord to finish speaking to hand him a microphone!

We were all wearing name badges and (like military insignias) badges of rank. The Lord spoke to this vast group yet we each heard him as if he were only speaking to us individually, "Lay down your ministry, your vision, your promises. I have new assignments for each of you." We all assumed a promotion. Then all went dead silent while the Holy Spirit ministered to each of us. To me he spoke, "I want you to become a field hand, a migrant worker. Go pick fruit."

I was horrified. What is lower than a fruit picking migrant worker?

I burned with shame wondering what my family would think. How would we live? What about my hard won education? I have struggled with Lupus for years and cannot stand being in sunlight for long stretches of time. Such a call to work in the fields would surely kill me!

Finally, I bowed my head while weeping and said, "Thy will be done." I stripped myself of my nice suit and donned the cheap clothing of a migrant worker. I told myself that if all I am capable of doing is harvesting fruit for the Lord then I would do it with all my heart. I felt something inside of me begin to shake violently, burn and finally die.

Though he slay me, yet will I serve Him, indeed! It occurred to me much later that migrant is just another way of saying "stranger and alien".

Anyway, I looked up and saw a great separation take place. I realized that the Lord had whispered this exact same calling to everyone there. We were all being called to be migrant fruit pickers. This vast company were all ministers of the Gospel. The hard shock was that the great majority of those standing there heard this call to go be migrant laborers and had said, "No."

I could hear the angry complaints: I built this church. I am too important . This ministry cannot survive without my leadership. If these fruit picking fools actually succeed, send the tithers to my church. and on and on. I could see sheep being culled from goats. It was like watching the birth of Gideon's Army. Our ranks were greatly thinned and we were an unimpressive, motley lot. There was not a name tag, title, or rank insignia to be seen.

So there we were in our migrant worker clothes like people you would glance at and turn away from uncomfortably pretending that you did not see them. I noticed we all had a dark hole burned in our chests where the black spot had been and someone called out and asked about it. The Lord of the Harvest replied, "That thing that burned and died in each of you was your blinding pride." And he breathed on us and the hole was filled with a kind of liquid light, His abiding Presence and glory!

I thought, "Oh, you cannot fill that which is full. You can only fill a vessel that has been first emptied." I looked back at the great company of ministers who had disqualified themselves from their true callings and was suddenly glad to be in ragged clothes and holy company. The black marks on their chests were like a plague infection that suddenly began to ooze and spread. I thought, "They're dead already and they don't even know it."

God is looking for those who will faithfully laborer for him to bring in the great harvest of souls that the seed of His blood had spilled into the earth to bring forth. Faithful Labor: There is no other qualification.

The Lord told us, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Go forth. Be fruitful and multiply my Kingdom!"

As our company marched off into the harvest field to be inglorious, nameless field hands, I could hear those left behind sneering in contempt, shouting out catcalls about what fools were all were. They seemed oblivious that the Lord of the Harvest was standing in their midst watching, listening, weighing their every word. And his eyes burned with holy fire.

As a man with Lupus, I have to be very careful about where I go, what I eat, how long I am outside. Sunlight can kill people like me. I often get accused of being a hypochondriac because my symptoms change like the tide and I was ill for years before I got the correct diagnosis....

Anyway, in my dream, I realized I was - surprise! - standing with a few who had harshly judged me and realized that I had, in anger, turned around and done the exact same thing to them! I repented deeply. As I stepped into the harvest field and felt the sun beating down on me, I realized I had just joyously accepted a death sentence. I suddenly felt a surge of healing power flood through me and I was instantly made whole! Funny, but the power did its work and then stayed pulsating in my hands.

Let me mention just one example (of many). I was recently informed of a certain Rev. Katherine Hancock Ragsdale, an Episcopal priest who seems quite representative of her denomination. Her website features sermons on “gay pride” and all the usual trendy topics this ultra-liberal denomination is into.

It seems that last year she delivered a sermon on the “blessings of abortion”. Yes you heard me right. This religious leader told her congregation that abortion is a great blessing from God and we must continue to work for abortion.

It's scary here I must confess,

When chaos reigns the school's a mess.

So, Lord, this silent plea I make:

Should I be shot;

My soul please take!

The above link is to a web page about the "Battle Hymn of The Republic" written by Julia Ward Howe in 1861... While visiting a Union Army Camp, near Washington D.C. and hearing the men sing a popular song about "John Brown's Body" an abolitionist who died... It had a strong marching beat to it...

Later that night the words to the now famous song "Battle Hymn of the Republic" were birthed in Julia's spirit and she immediately got up and wrote them down...

Every once in a while I go to this site as it has the music to the Words when you click on the web page and it just keeps playing over and over... It is a very stirring song, to say the least...

The Words that HOLY SPIRIT gave to Ms. Howe are oh so powerful... Even as a boy, when I would hear this Hymn sung in Church, or wherever, it would stir me deeply...

Tonight, it caused me to break down and weep hot tears, and my body shook with sobs as my heart was wrenched greatly... Even now, my eyes are clouded with tears... It was as if I were hearing the funeral marching song of America... I thought of your vision of "America, America" and I wept over the "soon" demise of this once great nation, that has turned it's back upon it's Creator, it's Elohim, and has gone the way of a harlot... It is being transferred into the hands of satan for destruction...

Of all the songs that have ever had the most impact on me, it has been the Battle Hymn of the Republic and Amazing Grace... Ironically, both are played at funerals...

When I was young and unlearned, I thought that America was the greatest and best nation in the World and would always be that way... We delivered other countries from the oppressors, we helped the ones who were helpless, we were the United States of America, and we believed in God Almighty, and Trusted HIM and HE protected us...

Throughout the years, I have become much more wiser in many ways, and it has caused much heartache and grief as well as much dismay, as I realize that my country, that I have loved so much is really not so good as it once was... And even when I thought it was so great, the leaders were even then leading it down the road to ruin...

Truly, we who believe in Elohim, Yahshuah "Jesus' and HOLY SPIRIT, are not of this world, we indeed are pilgrims on a journey in a foreign land...

We are as Abraham was, looking for a City built by Elohim, but not finding it except in the Spirit Realm...

I not only weep for America, and her demise into something terrible, but I weep for what I see Elohim, through HIS Son Yahshuah "Jesus" doing... I weep with Awe, Reverence, Holy Fear, and with rejoicing in my spirit at HIS Greatness and Terribleness, and most of all HIS HOLINESS!!!!!!!

If it were not for Father Elohim sending HIMSELF in the form of a Son, born of a Virgin, we here on earth would have no hope of ever being redeemed... What a Loving Elohim we have for a Creator... HE is TOTALLY HOLY and cannot look upon sin without judging it, yet HE sees us through the blood of HIS Son, and as we come to HIM through HIS Son, we are cleansed, washed free of out sins... Amen!!! Confessing with our mouth and receiving HIM by faith...

So, I ask you to go to that web site and mourn with me over the death of my country, but then rejoice with me over the fact that we have a City whose builder is Elohim and we will indeed dwell with HIM there!!! Only then will my heart be healed and I shall cry no more...

Perhaps I could have prayed harder and more often for America??? Even though I know her fate was sealed, for "it is written........." What is written, "must" come to pass...

The much greater tragedy than the demise of America, is the loss of the human souls who occupy her................ Why do they refuse to listen??????????? Why do they refuse to see????????????? Why do they refuse to hear????????????????? Indeed, this tragedy far surpasses the loss of the country... For without a people, what need is there of a country???????????? Yet, a remnant shall remain......

The present ruler of America has suggested that the Battle Hymn of the Republic is much too warlike and needs to be changed, and he will change it... It will be the coca cola song... He has said that America is no longer a Christian nation, and indeed she has become as Babylon, a land of many peoples and many gods, and has forfeited her right to be called a nation under one Elohim... How can we truthfully say the pledge of allegiance to our flag??? "One Nation, under God, Indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all??? Not so anymore... This is not true anymore... What a pitiful epitaph for one who started under Yahwah Elohim...

I saw many watchmen standing upon a wall, in America.

As they watched from the wall they saw multitudes of dangers heading towards the nation. Some watchmen were disturbed.

They did not know how to tell the people of the grave things they had seen.

In the past when they had run to people with the warnings, many screamed at them, “The danger ain’t here yet, so why are you running around like a chicken with it’s head cut off? What’s your hurry man! Tell us when the danger is a little closer, not when it’s at such a distance away. Look, next time you have a warning to give, just come ask us first how we’d like to receive it.”

Some watchmen were perplexed with the situation. Some thought, “Well, after all, the warnings are meant for the people, so it’s only fair that the people receive it, in a way that is more palatable to them”.

So now some of these watchmen would go to the people with a pen and paper, and look just like waitresses at a way-side diner, taking orders, “ How would you like your warnings, sunny side up, scrambled, poached…………?”

So these watchmen would return with a warning that was designed to the people’s taste.

Some other watchmen who also stood on the wall, saw the dangers, but thought to themselves, “ Who’s gonna listen ? It’s best I keep my mouth shut.”

Still others on the wall, saw how other watchmen were taking orders from others, and they were put off, and they also thought not to speak at all.

Then there were others who saw, but took what they saw to the kitchen, and added some, fries, pickled gherkins, pickled onions, and sprinkled on it peppers and doused it with spicy Mexican sauces. They wanted the plate to look more dramatic and colorful, besides all the add-ons made it look like there was SO much on the plate.

I saw some well-meaning watchmen in New York, who walked like they were treading on egg-shells. They did not want to hurt the people, or upset them too much, they had churches to run, so they added Scriptures and biblical stories, that had no relevance to what they had seen, they wanted to make sure that no matter what they shared, it must satisfy the ‘religious hunger’ of the people. The words must sound like they had just descended from the Throne-Room of God, so any Scripture whether it matched what they saw or not, was inserted into the warnings. They knew fully well that God Had not Given them those biblical stories and Scriptures to link with what they saw, but they saw that the people of America liked a ready format for prophetic warnings.

To assure the people in America, that what they were saying was truly of God, they had to follow the format. The format required that every prophecy and warning MUST SOUND RELIGIOUS, or the prophets and watchmen faced a definite boycott.

So, I saw that when the few true watchmen spoke, they were kicked out of the assemblies, as they followed no format, sounded not religious, and sweetened not the message. They and their messages were thrown out the windows and doors.

Towards the end of this vision, I saw these rejected messages, flying in the wind and landing on roads and pavements and odd places.

I saw as the vision faded , that they who accepted and welcomed the warnings from true uncompromising watchmen, were few, compared to the many who rejected them.

Shalom Swarna,

As I read this vision again, (I am sure that I have read it before...) I am struck by the fact that during the 80's and 90's I experienced some of what you saw in this vision... One might say that the habit of "controlling" the Prophetic Word had it's beginning in this time... That is not to say that there hasn't been controls on HIS Prophetic Word throughout the centuries, however, in this latest move of controlling the Prophetic Word, I suppose we could say this started in the 80's though the 90's and really gained momentum in the early 2000's... The teaching of the "Pastoral Covering" also got to going in the 90's... "The Doctrine of the Nicolaitans..." Controlling the congregation...

I remember that if one had a prophetic Word, he/she would approach the usher (or Deacon) and he would approach the Pastor and the Pastor would decide if it were to be spoken then or later, or at all... This was in the "Larger" Churches... In the smaller ones, it was more acceptable to just find an opening and speak out, with discretion, of course... Also, the Prophets were usually known in these smaller congregations, and they usually didn't speak up during a sermon, but during the so called "worship time" when they would attempt to "usher in" the Holy Spirit... Isn't that really insulting to HOLY SPIRIT??? Like HE has to be "coaxed" to come into the service??? Wow!!! How stupid can we get??? How "arrogant" can we get??? Our attitude should be of such, that HE would be there with us to begin with... I am guilty, as I was in that same trap... Elohim forgive me!!!

For the most part, the Prophecies were given by the Women of the Church... That used to puzzle me greatly... Later on, I understood why... The women were the ones who prayed the most therefore, they were closer to Elohim and were able to hear HIM when HE spoke... The men, just did their macho thing and lorded it over the women...
